Navia Robinson, AMTC grad, (2nd row on right), knew from an early age she wanted to perform. This quadruple threat is currently starring on two new, major TV shows: "Raven's Home" on Disney and "Free Rein" on Netflix. Nickelodeon artist and AMTC Grad, Joelle Joanie Siwa (born May 19, 2003), also known as JoJo Siwa or JoJo with the Big Bow, is an American dancer, singer, actress and YouTuber, known for appearing for two seasons on Dance Moms along with her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, and for her hit singles "Boomeraang" and "Kid in a Candy Store". Siwa posts daily videos of her day-to-day life on her second YouTube channel, JJ's world. She recently won favorite-viral-music-artist at the Kid’s Choice Awards 2017 and performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC.
STEPHEN 'TWITCH' BOSS
Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss went from AMTC to Star Search to SYTYCD to films, teaching, the Academy Awards and the Ellen Show. He’s now a husband, father, SYTYCD Mentor and one of the most famous dancers in the world. Stephen is also an amazingly nice man who gives back more than he receives. When he came back as a guest star to SHINE, he stayed for hours working with the dancers.
Tiffany Hines is a quadruple threat performing sensation, performing as a singer, dancer, model and actress. Tiffany grew up in Cincinnati, studying dance and singing, while maintaining an “A” average in school. She won several National Dance Competitions in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, and acrobatics. After high school, she juggled a job as a dance instructor while attending the University of Cincinnati, and singing for two different bands! Tiffany loved performing, but she had no idea her life was about to change. The following summer, she attended the SHINE, won Overall Female Actress and many contract offers! Tiffany has been a series regular on many TV shows, including Bones.
TyAlaxandar is from North Bergen, NJ and came to SHINE to rap and dance, he discovered additional talents in modeling and acting. He was chosen for the American Eagle International ad campaign soon after SHINE and continues to get booked as a model. His cool style and easy charm just add to the package. At the same time, Ty's rap career continued to move forward, with a growing fan base and many national tours. Most importantly for Ty is to honor God and help others. As a teen, he began a nonprofit for inner city kids to grow in in the arts, called ‘FitToFlow.'
Trevor Sones is a hard-working, classically trained dancer who has worked steadily in the industry since SHINE. He is represented by RWS & Associates. Trevor has traveled in national shows like Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Cats, Mamma Mia, and Chicago. He has also served as Dance Captain for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. In addition to dancing, Trevor is a choreographer and coach. Trevor’s talent is matched by his relentless professionalism in every aspect.
Chryssie Whitehead came to AMTC at the age of 15, soon to begin an extraordinary career in dance and drama. She began as a NYC Rockette, and later landed her first major Broadway role as Kristine in Chorus Line. Other shows include Company, Cats, Gigi, The Producers and Fosse. She’s had recurring or guest star roles on television, like Grimm, Warehouse 13, Private Practice, Man Up, Grey’s Anatomy and Revenge of the Bridesmaids (TV Movie). She’s also done feature films and commercials. In addition to performing, Chryssie is also a Director/Choreographer and guest faculty member at the AMDA, UCLA and several prestigious NYC schools.
Aaron began his dance training at the age of 3. When he was 11, he landed his first professional job at a local theatre in his hometown of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Early in his career, Aaron appeared on America’s Got Talent (Season 1) and America’s Most Talented Kids. At the age of 12 (the year he came to SHINE with Millie Lewis of Charleston), he won “The Greatest Dancer in America Challenge,” a dance competition held on Good Morning America. One of the judges, nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune, later invited Aaron to join him on the National Tour of Doctor Dolittle. Aaron performed a tap duet with Mr. Tune in every show while touring. At 16, he appeared in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the show Tap Kids, which received five-star reviews from The Scotsman. Aaron taught his first tap master class at the age of 13, and loves to teach and choreograph tap for all ages and skill levels. He is also on faculty with Showstoppers, conventions which are held all across the U.S. Currently, Aaron is a part of the 20th Anniversary cast of Tap Dogs.
Aaron Conley, from West Point, MS, always knew his calling. He came to SHINE at the age of nine. His story of faith and fundraising were an inspiration to everyone he met during his AMTC experience. After convention, Aaron signed with Shirley Grant Management. A short time later, Aaron and his mother drove all the way to New York City to audition for the role of ‘Young Simba’ in The Lion King on Broadway. Against the odds of a newcomer winning one of the world’s most prestigious child roles, he got it! Aaron was able to complete over three hundred performances! The faith and courage of Aaron and his mother was a witness of Jesus before we in AMTC knew Him personally. We are thankful and praise God for the Conley’s.
Caitlin Kinney attended AMTC and received strong interest from reps. She was a top lifestyle modeling and dancing prospect. Even though ballet was not her primary dance style growing up, as a sophomore in high school Caitlin transferred to the Baltimore School for the Arts, and fell in love with ballet. She had been tumbling since she was 6 years old, at 12 discovered acrobatics and then a year later took her first jazz class. Presently she performs classical ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, acrobatic stunts and more. The acrobatic dancer wowed judges with her solo and survived a grueling audition process making it to Top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance (Season 5). Caitlin, along with a few select dancers from SYTYCD performed for Salvatore Ferragamo during the 9th Annual Celebration of Dreams. Caitlin danced with Paula Abdul at The White Nights Festival in Russia as part of Abdul’s dance team. With so many styles under her belt and her athleticism, it’s no wonder that she broke into the stunt world in Parkour commercials for Semir and La Fuma, the French outdoor equipment company. Caitlin also performed as stunt doubles for three thriller movies: Escapee, Stash House and No One Lives. Currently, Caitlyn dances, choreographs, teaches and is a stunt double.
Brandon has been performing since the age of nine. A virtuoso, Brandon plays the piano, guitar and is currently learning to write original songs. At SHINE, Brandon placed in the top five for overall performer, overall singer, overall dancer and actor and he received the most callbacks among all performers. His big break came when he was selected from among 40,000 auditioners for the Hub original reality show Majors and Minors (cast alongside fellow AMTC grad Austin Crute) where he got to showcase his musical and dance talent while being mentored by professionals. Brandon is signed with the Campbell Agency in Dallas and continues to model, act, sing, dance, write and choreograph. The former child star is now a teen professional. Brandon is now with the Simon Cowell boy group, PrettyMuch
Dionne Carole was a teacher for 12 years, which later landed her in a school administrative position. One day, her friend told her about an audition in New York City. With no guarantee of the outcome, Dionne left her successful career: “I took a great leap of faith . . . and took the job in New York. I can honestly say that God has been so good ever since.”
After attending SHINE, Dionne began landing roles on Cruise Lines and theater productions like Dreamgirls Broadway Tour, Faces of Black History (Irving Street Repertory), Ain’t Misbehavin, Smokey Joes Cafe and Godspell. She also competed in and won the McDonald’s Gospel Fest.
TryC is a SHINE grad who has a heart for Jesus Christ and is on a mission to tell the world about Him though music, dance, and other forms of art. He’s an actor with national commercials and fashion model who's worked with clients like Teen Vogue and Target. He’s also a rapper and a dancer who performs locally at different churches and events in San Diego. He is the starter of the “PGF SquaD” a group of young people who use their talents to further the kingdom of God and choose to live a little differently than most people their age. Proverbs 19:2 “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Asher Walker is a professional dancer signed with Clear Talent Group, L.A. He attended SHINE and says: "Through AMTC, God showed me that He is here with me. I think AMTC was a big turning point in my life, making me realize that I could actually get into the industry.” His TV, show and film credits include “I Can Do That,” the Billboard Awards, Xscape Usher Tour, Sir Elton John Greatest Hits Tour, SYTYCD Seasons 8 & 9, Good Morning America, MTV, the Disney Channel with Bella Thorne, BET’s Showtime, and The Perfect Dance. Asher is also a Masters Class dance coach.
